DeCrises at the 9th SRA-E Nordic conference in Copenhagen, Denmark
From 4 to 5 November 2025 the 9th SRA-E Nordic conference will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Annually, this event gathers researchers and practitioners to discuss current research on risk perception, communication, assessment, governance, management and risk policy.
Titled “Uncertainties and Opportunities for Risk Analysis in the Nordic Region”, this year’s meeting will address the perspectives in risk analysis within the Nordic, Baltic and Arctic areas. Organised by SRA-E Nordic, IDA Risk and Copenhagen University College, it will offer a platform for discussions and knowledge exchange within the risk community with sessions, plenaries and speeches.
Among the keynote speakers will be Professor Aistė Balžekienė (Kaunas University of Technology). On 5 November she will deliver a talk: “Proximity and Risk: Challenges for Societal Resilience in Baltic States”. It will focus on how proximity shapes risk perception and societal resilience, based on the results from research projects highlighting the socio-spatial dimensions of risk perception and social vulnerability.
