On 1 October the University of Jyväskylä gathered university staff, students, representatives from business organizations and other stakeholders in Jyväskylä, Finland for its Business Networking Day 2025.

The event created an interdisciplinary platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange between academia and industry, as the attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the work of several departments at the University of Jyväskylä, along with various business organizations and companies.

The event program featured exhibition stands, keynote speeches and elevator pitches across several main themes including:

• building a crisis-resilient society
• medical imaging and measurements
• well-being for tomorrow
• data, digitalisation and AI
• games and gamification
• clean energy and green technologies.

Under the panel discussion on Clean Energy and Green Technologies Md Mashiur Rahman, a doctoral researcher under DeCrises, delivered an elevator pitch on the project. Titled “EU Decarbonization in Times of Crises: Exploring Social Innovations and Enhancing an Equitable Twin Transitions (DeCrises)”, it provided an overview of the project, including its expectations and goals for advancing equitable twin transitions through social innovations.
