On 14 May 2026, a meeting  between experts from the IMP-PAN and the Municipal District Heating Company convened in Olsztyn, Poland. During this meeting, representatives of IMP-PAN discussed issues related to energy efficiency and twin transition tackled by DeCrises Projects, DecarbonDHS project and BES - Baltic EnerShift project, as well as creating space for the exchange of approaches, experiences, and perspectives related to the energy transition.

The purpose of the meeting was to facilitate a more profound understanding of the local community needs and how to fulfil them using the twin transition. During the course of the visit, the opportunity arose to observe the district heating infrastructure and converse with the relevant personnel regarding its operational functionality. 

The primary subject under discussion during the meeting was the initiation of an educational initiative for the local community. The objective of this initiative is to facilitate transition from conventional resources to RES and innovation as a means of enhancing system performance.
