On 23 June 2026, RECODE-MLG, in collaboration with its sister projects MICAD and DeCrises, organised a workshop on writing policy recommendations. 

Hosted by the University of Agder, this event brought together researchers, public authorities and practitioners from across Europe to discuss how research can effectively shape public policy.

During this workshop, experts delivered insightful presentations on the purpose, content and strategic use of policy recommendations, diving into their role in the decision-making processes. 

Among the participants was Matúš Mišík (Comenius University in Bratislava), who delivered a presentation entitled “The transfer of knowledge: Why science needs to inform policymakers”. The main message from this presentation was that scientists should connect their findings to "real-life" situations and inform policies via policy recommendations.
